Summary: London’s newest venue is also its largest for off-road racing. Beckenham Place Park is run by Lewisham Council and with their support, the Beastway Org are delighted to offer an inaugural test event in its extensive and impressive setting. This will be the seasonal event for cyclocross riders and with a Go-Cross category it’s also an opportunity to give the sport a try. Sadly the Footscray event and venue has gone, but it’s certain this will be a worthy successor with races for all ages and abilities in a beautiful park with classical mansion.

Beastway Org is a highly experienced crew of volunteers who’ve branched out to South East London for this venue. They’ve run national and regional championships as well as the regular Beastway MTB series at Hog Hill which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2017.

One Response to Lewisham Yulecross in Beckenham Place Park – 27 December 10am to 1pm

  1. Mal Mitchell says:

Unfortunately the appearance of a golf course with lines of trees is unacceptable in Lewisham’s eyes as they closed the course and want to remove trees, but nothing wrong with lines of mud and cycle track on the ’18th century heritage landscape’ which was the main feature of the Heritage Lottery Fund bid used as grounds for closing the only public golf course in inner London.
